Background:
La Laguna is the farm of owner Adriana Beltran. She is the second generation and took over this business from her father. Her goal is to produce high quality coffee.

Adriana works cooperatively with Kachalu, organic farming flows through her veins. The farmers associated with the Kachalu project see conservation as a vision of life. All coffee grows in the jungle of the Santander region of northeastern Colombia.

During the February 2024 trip, Rick and Tuyet were the first to visit her farm. La Laguna was chosen as the name for a reason. A large part of the, a total of 94 hectares of land, also contains natural water sources. What a beautiful finca, completely in harmony with nature! Adriana grows coffee on about 70 acres of her land. Various lots grow there, part of which is for the Colombia Kachalu. We already knew that Adriana would have an organic Geisha. Rick became very happy while cupping the various coffees from the Kachalu project when he tasted them!

To generate side income, Adriana is currently building a hotel at home. This will allow her to attract more tourists and offer these people a tour of her land and thus let them learn more about conservation.

Why does BOOT Coffee, need to purchase coffee from you, was answered by her with the counter question, "Why do we want to sell the coffee to you?" A very valid question! Because the goal is to generate good income and to provide the highest quality. BOOT Coffee wants to pay the fair price to the farmer for a (organic) high quality coffee. Hence, on top of the premium price Adriana receives for being organic, we pay extra for the very good quality coffee.
