This Assam tea comes from the fertile state of Assam in northeastern India, known for its excellent tea plantations. The second picking of the tea is the finest and produces the most refined flavor. Assam tea is grown from the Camelia Sinensis Assamica plant, which has larger, sturdier leaves and excellent resistance to the tropical climate.

The rainy climate and high temperatures of 40°C, combined with the low-lying terrain, give the tea its distinctive malty flavor, beautiful freshness and bright color. Assam tea is loved worldwide and now accounts for more than half of India's tea production.
