For nearly 50 years Boot Koffie has had a warm, deep relationship with Colombia. A passion for the taste of Colombian coffee. A passion to help Colombian coffee farmers in their local development. Both come together in a new project Coffee for Peace.
Coffee for Peace aims to structurally improve the quality of Colombian coffee through professional coffee training. This enables the coffee farmers to realize a better price. Hope for a better life is actually transformed into a real long-term perspective. But also training for the family members of the coffee farmer that leads to a strengthening of the social bonds in the local communities in Colombia, which has been torn apart by the civil war.
Better economic conditions provide the right counterbalance for coffee farmers to continue to choose to plant and maintain coffee plants and not to respond to the easy temptations of the coca mafia.
By drinking this coffee, you are contributing to a better life for Colombian coffee farmers.
The coffee of the Coffee for Peace project is from now on available in the web store of Boot Koffie, in the coffee shop in Baarn and at a large number of resellers.
