What are ESE servings / pads or sachets?
Boot Koffie In addition to its range of roasted beans, Illy also supplies sachets (also known as ESE servings or pads), which are similar yet different from the familiar Senseo pads. ESE is the abbreviation for "Easy Serving Espresso", a system originally developed by the Italian company Illy, which has since become a standard. ESE sachets can be used in any machine that can handle Illy espresso pads, such as the QuickMill 810. Note: ESE sachets cannot be used in Senseo machines (just as senso pads do not fit in an ESE machine).

The Boot Koffie ESE espresso sachets have exactly one serving per individual pack, which contains exactly the right amount of coffee (about 7.8 grams) of the right grind, is pressed between 2 layers of biodegradable filter paper with the right strength in the correct form and are packed separately airtight so that the freshness and taste are guaranteed.

You make the perfect espresso with the Colombia Kachalu sachets, an organic eco coffee that grows in the protected Kachalu rainforest at an altitude of 1100 to 1900 meters.
