Introduction - Carole

For me, coffee is pure attention. It starts with the bean and ends in the cup. Every brewing method brings out different flavors - that continues to fascinate me. I love that play between technique and feeling, and the moment when someone takes that first sip and says, "Wow!!!"

Introduction - Elisa

What is your most memorable moment as a coffee professional?
There is no one specific moment right away, but I found it special to discover the path coffee takes all the way through before you can drink it. You don't dwell on that often enough. There are so many people and actions involved: from growing coffee in a coffee country, transporting it to our country, roasting it in our roastery, to everyone wanting to drink, serve or sell it.

Introduction - Anouk

I'm Anouk and I've been working for BOOT for about six months now. During the week, I work as an account manager for the Amsterdam region and the rest of the Randstad. You will mostly see me behind my laptop or on my bike in Amsterdam. In the weekends, you can find me in our training room in Het Lokaal. This is where I give the BOOT workshops as a trainer, from barista and latte art to coffee tasting.

Introduction - Tim van der Molen

My name is Tim van der Molen, I am 22 years old and working as a logistics & production employee at BOOT Koffie. I am responsible for carefully packaging the coffee and making sure the logistics run smoothly. Beyond that, I am also training to become a coffee roaster. From Rick and Arnout, I learn the intricacies of the roasting process - from choosing the right roasting profiles to developing the flavor. As a result, I am gaining more and more insight into how to use precision and passion to transform green coffee beans into something people really enjoy. My ambition is to become a full-fledged coffee roaster!

Allow me to introduce - Stefan Heuvelmans

As a coffee lover, I am conscious of how much caffeine I ingest. At work I taste various coffees, just like wine you can spit this out, but unnoticed you get quite a bit of caffeine. This is why I can recommend the Colombia Kachalu Decaffeinated Organic to everyone, I know of few decafs that are this good!

In short, a fruity Limited Edition filter coffee (with caffeine) in the morning and a double espresso decaf in the afternoon. Cheers!

Introductions - Alejandro Stalpers

This time it's the turn of our Alejandro. The always cheerful (yes, really), hospitable barista and trainer has a passion for all things coffee. You can see this in his beautiful Latte Art creations, informative coffee training and taste it in the precision brewed cups of coffee.

In your opinion, what is a coffee that everyone should try?
Well... From the regular range, I like to drink the Indonesia Sumatra Organic. Usually brewed in the morning as a filter with my V60 filter dripper and later in the day at the Coffee Shop & Bar as espresso. This organic certified all-male friend with flavors of intense, chocolate, black currant and spicy is just super tasty and I gladly recommend it!
