Review: The Coffee Show st(r)etches your heart

On Thursday evening I was a spectator at the Coffee Show in Job's coffee room. A coffee bar in Leusden where you can normally go for breakfast, lunch, a cozy drink and.... of course a good cup of coffee. Job's was transformed into a theater on this evening.

In a living room setting, DirkJan Stip (Coffee Corazon) shared a lot of great and interesting coffee knowledge. From countries to roasts, plants to farmers. From past and present. Dirk Jan's charismatic appearance and natural storytelling style keep you captivated from start to finish and really learn something.

There was smoke and smelling. Coffee was being roasted, ground and brewed live. We joined in and got to drink while tasting.

All this was interspersed and enhanced by songs and stories from the piano playing and singing coffee roaster, Barend Boot (Boot Koffie). A musical coffee encyclopedia who presents songs in his own way and knows how to touch you. Written and composed himself. Really special.

The interplay between Dirk Jan and Barend is natural. They complement each other and it is as if they have been performing the Coffee Show for years. Not so. This is new and unique!

My verdict? Go see this for yourself. This is for everyone who likes to drink coffee. For young and old. In any case, I enjoyed it to the fullest!
