BOOT Coffee is hosting twelve small coffee farmers from Central and South America at its store in Baarn on Tuesday, June 4, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. An important part of the afternoon program is a group discussion with the farmers, to hear firsthand where dreams, needs and limitations lie. Partly on this basis, roaster BOOT Koffie can further shape its support program to coffee farmers.

The small coffee farmers are visiting BOOT Koffie's store in Baarn ahead of the "World of Coffee" fair to be held in Berlin next week. The coffee farmers are on a market orientation tour at the invitation of the CBI (Centre for the Promotion of Imports from Developing Countries). In recent years, the price of coffee on the world market has continued to fall. Bad news for the coffee farmers. Many of them are falling further and further into poverty. But also bad news for the consumer. By drinking coffee you contribute to the increasing losses of the coffee farmer.

VisionThat
has to change. BOOT Coffee believes that you can only be genuinely happy with coffee when everyone in the chain earns a good living. For more than 40 years, therefore, the Baarn-based coffee roaster has been importing as much as possible directly from farmers, or cooperatives. It works hard to increase the quality of coffee cultivation so that farmers can benefit from the higher prices paid for Specialty Coffee.
In 2019, BOOT Coffee is going one step further. It will make a direct contribution to increasing the quality of life of coffee farmers independent of the coffee price on the world market. Based on the needs and wishes of the farmers themselves and not on the basis of what we from the Netherlands think is right.

Lucky ExperienceThe
mission of BOOT Coffee is to offer the best coffees in the world and to give the coffee drinker an unforgettable lucky experience with the aromas and flavors. The roaster believes it is important to share the story of coffee farmers. "I exist because you use my name and coffee," the coffee farmer said.
As a family-owned business for 45 years, BOOT Coffee has been constantly seeking new, rich flavors. BOOT Coffee selects its own plantations and imports as much as possible directly from the coffee farmers. A fair price for the coffee farmers goes without saying. We are also involved in projects to improve the living conditions and education of coffee farmers, pickers and their children.
