Boot Koffie will exist half a century in 2023 and they want to know it. On the facade in the Laanstraat hangs a sign that clearly states this. The family business was founded in 1973 by Jacob Boot, father of current owner Barend (67). Since January 1, Darja Koster can call herself director. She takes over a number of daily tasks from Barend. Koster is not new to Boot, she has been working there for fifteen years.

,,We can proudly announce that we again have all coffee roasting activities in Baarn. We moved the roastery that was brew up almost six years ago in Amersfoort to Hermesweg. So we have roasting, production, storage and shipping under one roof. In Amersfoort in Het Lokaal on the Oliemolenhof we still give our training and tasting sessions and receive our catering and retail customers," explains Darja Koster. In addition to the activities on Hermesweg, Boot has the store on Laanstraat and another space on Hoge Vuurseweg in Lage Vuursche where there is a small roaster. "That one is almost not in use, only for small amounts of
beans," Barend Boot explains as he sips his double espresso.
