Early this month was the anniversary day at the coffee shop in Baarn; Boot Koffie exists 50 years! 50 years ago it was already extremely unique to start a business in coffee that puts quality and the farmer's life first. The anniversary was celebrated grandly with various activities, such as (coffee) bag races and a coffee roasting demonstration (what a wonderful smell!).

On Thursday evening I was a spectator at the Coffee Show in Job's coffee room. A coffee bar in Leusden where you can normally go for breakfast, lunch, a cozy drink and.... of course a good cup of coffee. Job's was transformed into a theater on this evening.

My opinion? Go see this for yourself. This is for everyone who likes coffee. For young and old. In any case, I enjoyed it, to the fullest!

7 years ago our adventure began in Het Lokaal in Amersfoort as a coffee roaster and training room. Now that we have created more space in our warehouse in Baarn, we will move our 15 kilo roaster to Baarn.

Our Brazil Santos comes from the Mantiqueira de Minas region, where it is grown at an altitude of 1,100 meters. In this region, coffee is mostly grown by small farmers. What you taste in this coffee is first of all a full body, which Brazilian coffees are known for, but also soft acidity and a hint of sweetness.

Two restaurants, two chefs, two coffee roasters and one plant-based menu with coffee. Restaurants Het Lokaal together with Boot Koffie from Amersfoort and Capriole Café from The Hague are joining forces. They will do this from November 9 to 12 during the Top Two Coffee Dinner.
