The Boot Coffee Game is always exciting, because the winners are chosen blind. It was pure coincidence that Mrs. Van Stralen is from Baarn and has been drinking Boot's coffee faithfully for years. "When we go somewhere for coffee, we always check to see if they serve Boot Koffie there," said Mrs. Van Stralen. She is clearly a real aficionado!

Early this month was the anniversary day at the coffee shop in Baarn; Boot Koffie exists 50 years! 50 years ago it was already extremely unique to start a business in coffee that puts quality and the farmer's life first. The anniversary was celebrated grandly with various activities, such as (coffee) bag races and a coffee roasting demonstration (what a wonderful smell!).

Effective Wednesday, May 31, 2023, we will make a price change. On average, the increase will be about 8%. This means for you about €0.02 per cup brewed.

The reason for this price increase is that we continue to face challenges locally and around the world. Climate change continues to affect the production of coffee at the farmers from whom we import coffee.

Saturday, June 3, the Coffee Shop at Laanstraat 49 in Baarn is celebrating. And you as a loyal Boot Koffie customer are hereby cordially invited! Together with you we would like to celebrate our anniversary: 50 years Boot Koffie.

Recently Jouke Vink, the shop manager of the Boot Koffie Shop in Baarn, was a guest on the Radio M Utrecht broadcast. He brought the Panama Momoto Filter and 2 wine glasses to taste this Limited Edition both hot and cold.

'This is a Panama Momoto. A coffee that grows at above 1,500 meters. Has a little notes of Whiskey, a little lychee.
Surely it is a true wine tasting here at the table.
Very different from the average coffee.
It is very tasty indeed! And now that cold one after it!'

From the moment I came to work as a barista at the Boot store in Baarn four years ago, the Sumatra has been one of my favorite coffees. Those intense dark chocolate notes, that creamy sweetness and that soft acidity continue to charm me. As a pure espresso, the sweet, berry flavor notes stand out the most, but combined with milk, the chocolate stands out. Magic!
